DAY 38 AUGUST 13 TORONTO CITY HIGHLIGHTS

WATERFRONT
Toronto's waterfront is their front porch to the world.  Looks like lots of investment going on in making this area eventually a world class attraction.  Their economy is still going strong with the Canadian dollar on par with the US buck...we remember a few years back when it was 62 US cents to the Canadian dollar.  No signs of recession up this way.  Larry is quite the business guy-the King of Bar Coding.  As he says he likes to fly below the radar but from my seat he soars like an Eagle. Oh I get it- must be that aversion to that Screaming Eagle wine.   Lots of modern urban sprawl and  in this case some major league city renovation underway.  They are planning miles of wetlands, parks, boardwalks, promenades and heritage foot trails.  It offers the excitement of arts festivals, bike and boat activities and more.

We had an enjoyable lunch and looking forward to the next visit to see how all the planning turned out.   Bubba reminded me to behave so we can be invited back.  Hmmmmf.

CNTOWER
Next stop CN tower.  Larry said he had just the thing for me to do while in Toronto.  How about a little edge walking Boca?  Oh sure I'm game Big Guy.  The CN is a communication and observation tower standing 1,815 feet tall and when completed in 1976 was the worlds tallest tower.  The CN is the signature icon of Toronto's skyline.  The CN, originally referred to Canadian Nation- the railway company that built the tower-since sold off.

Yep, that's the Edge Walk!  Toronto's most extreme attraction for the crazy folks who need that adrenaline rush- $175 for 30 mins.  Bubba thought it was quite the bargain and encouraged me to give it a rip.  He did ask if he could hold my jewelry while I harnessed up...  So we purchase our CN tickets and Pudge enjoys the wind blow going through the Smiths Security machine.  Hey, I made parts for that machine.  Better go through twice Pudge....could be faulty!

After clearing security we then learn about the 2 hour wait to get in the elevator.  No No No said Larry-we're outta here.  You got that right.  But wait- Mary bought 2 "scalped" tickets how will she get a refund from La Tour Ticket Boss?  As we watched Mary mosey up to the counter we held our breath as we did not her to go to BAD TICKET JAIL.  Ah, no sweat gang- she bought them for $30 and sold them back for $45!  Why that little profiteer.  Hey Larry, you might want to take a few business pointers from our sweet Mary.

BBQ RACE PREP
Larry and Bubba prepare for the next day's Triathlon...
And once again Pudge out did herself with a very tasty BBQ- showcasing one of her many talents.   Larry did teach me a few Air Guitar moves- the "windmill"  made popular by the Who's Roger Daltry.  Boca caught on quickly and did a few Who and Jimmy Hendrix renditions to relax the girls for the race.  No wine for the gals so I had to make up the difference.  What a friend.
